John Glacier – Couldn’t Get Back

John Glacier returns with “Couldn’t Get Back” from the deluxe edition of “Like A Ribbon”, expanding her critically acclaimed debut with five new tracks. The Hackney-born rapper works with producers Skrillex, Clams Casino, and Omari Lyeseight to create what she calls “a ribbon cascading, falling, and taking on new forms.”

Glacier’s approach remains abstract yet relatable, tied to her London roots while existing on a different plane entirely. Her diaristic style captures everyday life complexities through singular phrasing that redefines UK rap. Executive producer Kwes Darko contributes under his Blue Daisy alias, while features include Eartheater and Sampha.

Since the original album’s release, Glacier’s performed at Glastonbury’s Park stage, Primavera Sound Barcelona, and fronted campaigns for Stone Island and Burberry. The deluxe serves as the final chapter in the “Like A Ribbon” series, cementing her place as one of the UK’s most unclassifiable rising stars.
